Changing Independent Reading Book

After I read Marie Antoinette Diary for a several pages last week, I found it too easy and not challenging for me at all. I decided to change my independent reading to the harder one. I chose The It Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar who was also the author of Gossip Girl which is one of my favorite novels. The It Girl seems very interesting and outstanding to me because the back of the book tells me a little bit of the story about a young popular girl who is going to attend an elite boarding school in New York horse country where glamorous rich kids don’t let the rules get in the way of an excellent time. Even though there are some difficult vocabulary words that I don’t understand in the book but I believe the hard words will help me building my reading skill as well as my grammar skill. It is very important to me to practice and shape these two skills in order to do well on the SAT and TOEFL.
